Population is pretty even on KT; the buffs for not taking forts keeps the pendulum swinging from asmo/elyos fort domination with a period of about 1.5 months. People are lazy and only fight when they have level 9 siege buff though so don’t expect much from sieges. I don’t recommending stressing yourself over the game too much, after 6.0 being announced, lots of players will probably relax and wait for the next patch to come.
